In February, the Lied Discovery Children's Museum is set to change its name to the DISCOVERY Children's Museum and move into new digs next to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Las Vegas. The main attraction at the new facility will be a 3-story exhibit dubbed "The Summit," with interactive stations. Add to this the recently reopened Nevada State Museum (which is at the Springs Preserve) and a bike trail that skirts part of Lake Mead, and families can avoid big resorts for everything but sleep.
