BEATLES FIRST CONCERT AUCTION

Sunday marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles playing on the Ed Sullivan Show, the Fab Four's first U.S. television appearance. To commemorate the occasion, New York City's Ed Sullivan theater (now home to The Late Show with David Letterman) unveiled a special marquee; the New York Port Authority placed a historical marker at JFK International Airport, where The Beatles held their first press conference; and CBS is airing a two-hour tribute Sunday at 8 p.m. EST, "The Beatles: The Night That Changed America -- A Grammy Salute."

But just as Abbey Road is the group's best-selling album, a visit to the setting of its iconic cover -- outside Abbey Road Studios in London -- has got to be the top Beatles-related travel destination. (Just watch the Abbey Road Crossing Cam and count the photo shoots.) Here are some of the better shots we found online.
