To find the best spots for beef brisket, spare ribs, pulled pork and more, AOL Travel caught up with the barbeque pros themselves at the Big Apple Barbeque Block Party in New York City. The chefs traveled from all across the east to arrive at the event, so we thought it only fitting to find out where they would stop and nosh. Here are some of their favorites.

Do you have a favorite "pit" stop? Let us know in the comments below.

The best BBQ in Southern California is Morfias Ribs and Pies off of Lincoln Blvd. It is the best BBQ and best sides and desserts you will have! Check it out in Marina Del Rey, CAlifornia off Lincoln Blvd you won't be sorry!

When in the Decatur, Al. area, Big Bob Gibson is certainly my favorite. I also like Whitt's BBQ, started by the Whitt family of Athens, Al. many years ago. Now that I live near Birmingham, the Green Top BBQ is the place for good pit BBQ. If ever on Hwy. 78 near Sumiton/Dora, Al., stop in; I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good Southern hospitality served up with good food.

Baby back ribs rule my roost. Brisket seems most often to be dried out Pot Roast. with sauce. Who likes to eat well done Filet Mignon? Some of the best babybacks I've had come from Buzz and Neds in Richmond VA. They are smoked and then grilled off at the end of the "process" to give a great crusty crunch to the outer part of the ribs. They don't offer and nor do they have have bottles of sauce on the table to "flavor" a bland rib. Most times they are still moist and juicy as leftovers a couple of days latter. NOT CHEAP but very tasty and tender.

For my money...; NORTH MAIN BBQ 406 N. Main St. Euless, Texas 76039 817/267-7821 has not only the 'best bar-b-que' in Texas. It might be the 'best bargin for BBQ' there is!! For a mere $12, it's "All You Can Eat"!!! One thing to note here...; they're only open Friday; Saturday 11:00am to 9:00pm and Sundays 11:00am to 4:00.

Has an article been done for Vegan spots? Sorry, all I see here are the flesh of dead tortured sentient beings that had souls and wanted to live life just like everyone else. Not to mention the heart attacks waiting to happen from eating this non-nutritious. You can have a vegan alternative of BBQ, because what tastes so good are the spices.

Wildhorse BBQ just south of Sallisaw, OK on Hwy 59 has the tenderest pork ribs and the tastiest sauce. Their beans are out of this world. The beef sandwiches are something to talk about.
