Paul Yashou, TSA Officer, Indicted For Stealing $23,000 Worth Of Watches From LAX Passengers
The Los Angeles Times reports that Yashou was arrested at his home after a $15,000 IWC GST watch he had sold to a jewelry store was put up for auction online. The watch's owner noticed it was listed and called law enforcement.
Yashou will face two felony counts, for stealing the $15,000 watch and a $5,000 watch, and three misdemeanor charges for stealing three less-expensive time pieces.
According to The Daily Mail, Toussain Puddie, an agent at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, was charged Wednesday for the theft of a $450 pen, which was left behind briefly by its owner at a security point.
Airport workers, including TSA agents, have previously been busted for stealing money from passengers at Kennedy International in New York, New Jersey's Newark airport, Buffalo's Niagara International and bags from Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport.
