The New York Post reports that the Parks Department does not wish to put a nude beach anywhere near Coney Island or change the laws that make disrobing in public illegal. For those keeping track, wearing pasties in the Mermaid parade is still totally legal.
The AANR, which is run out of a (wait for it) strip mall in Kissimmee, Florida, (Call 1-800-TRY-NUDE!) lobbies on behalf of what it describes as the $400 million global nude recreation industry. According to the AANR, there are 270 clothes-free resorts in the US - those are hotels and RV parks, not beaches. (Click here to find out what the best nude beaches are in the world.)
Who goes to these places? Never the ones you'd hope.
As the nice lady from Salt Lake City gently points out in this video, not everyone goes to the gym often enough. Prudence has its place.

I personally think this to be a great decision on New York's part. However, the way things are going all over we're more or less moving into a Sodom and Gomorra type of life standards. That being true: It's only a matter of time before much of the world will also join them. I wouldn't doubt it coming to the point...of one day, this type of thing to be considered the norm for most people.
If, and when, that happens, this will indicate the end of all thing, as we now know them to be. For man kind will about ended his stay on planet earth. After which it will be either heaven or hell. What will your destination be? You and you alone have the determining factor of your final destination...here is hoping it will be: "TO GO WITH JESUS"

Nudity?!!! If god wanted us to be nude, he wouldn't have created child labor for the garment industry!!
July 26 2011 at 1:30 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhen I was a young man in the 70s, my friends and I often enjoyed nude beaches in California. Oddly, it was not the lustful, leering experience some assume it would be. There were people of ALL ages and shapes and it seemed...well, natural. When everyone is nude, the "sexiness" diminishes. Actually, the few people who remained clothed seemed the odd ones. I remember beautiful, relaxing days in the sun, with everyone getting along very nicely.

July 22 2011 at 9:22 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf you have never experienced a nude resort or beach, allow me as a nudist to help you understand. It should be clothing optional not nude so everyone can find a comfort level. Nudism means to me that I accept you how you are as a person. I am not judging you on what you drive, wear or do for a living, I accept you as a person. Nudist are not weirdos, just people who have peace with their body and enjoy being outside and inside in their skin. I am a plus size woman and there is an acceptance there that will never exist on a regular beach. Try a resort and know that all men fear they may become excited, the reality is very few men have erections there and it is something you deal with discretely. Women worry they are not skinny or sexy enough, the reality is women are beautiful the way you are and it has nothing to do with size. Do people look, yes they do but that is a normal human thing. Try a family friendly resort and it may or amy not be for you. For me, it is the best thing I have ever done and I will not go back. You have to know who you are. Feel free to say hello and I will be glad to talk to you about it.

July 21 2011 at 6:00 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyYes, this all sounds just great to some people. We're not all from the same mold though, as most will surely know. Some of us feel this world is our final home, and we must do all that we can...while we can...to fulfill the lust of the flesh. These will also feel that this body of flesh will need to have the privilege of being entertained...for they will also feel that when they close their eyes in death...this is the total end...no more remembrance...no, not none, what so ever.
However, those of us that are devout Christian's will know we're to give account of the deeds done within this body. For they know each and every devout Christian is to let the light of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus shine through their lives.
The Bible says: As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man and the winding up of all things. They were doing as many are today...seemingly...trying to usher in as swiftly as they can...the wrath of God upon humanity.
Also we know that mankind had done the same thing within the City's of Sodom and Gomorra.
What we're seeing today: is this same thing: though, as of now, it's only in it's infancy stage. According to the Bible though...it will not remain within it's infancy stage. In fact, Sodom and Gomorra gives us a picture of what it's full mature appearance will be like. For those who so indulge...can say good by to Jesus and hello to your new master...the prince of darkness and also the pits of hell which will be your eternal dwelling place.
For you that have the tendency to live it up to the fullest extent by stripping all of your clothes off to show off your body and to also indulge in feeding to the lust of the flesh: there's and old, old, song: which goes like this: Oh!! Were shall I be when the last trumpet sounds? When it sounds so loud so as to wake up the dead. Where shall I be? When from East to West the fire shall roll where shall I be? And how shall it be with my poor soul.. Oh!! Where shall I be?
With much love, your brother in Christ Jesus.

1. AANR should be asking for a 'clothing optional' beach. Nude beach implies mandatory nudity, but then that's AANR for you, or did the writer change things. 2. The writer, by his attitude, is obviously a biased textile who has never tried social naturism and thinks it's all about ogleing. 3. Naturism (ala TNS, The Naturist Society, HQ'd in Oshkosh WI) is more about body acceptance -- just as you are -- for your own sake and personal mental/emotional growth.
July 21 2011 at 5:48 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyEuropeans, as well as South Americans, like to go nude to beaches. There are European countries which have nude family beaches. People of both of these continents have and do a lot of fornicating and tricking with each other wherever they could for centuries before America was discovered. This is for the smart ass Ken below: When anyone from overseas likes to point out our social ills, just have them do research on what their countries peoples have done over the centuries and it pales in comparison to the USA.
July 21 2011 at 5:36 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWell, we here on the east coast do have out puritan heritage to think about. The Europeans are an entirely different story which isn't taught in U.S. history classes.
