Alramakh, 21, was on a United flight from Chicago to Germany on July 8, when he went to the restroom and used an electronic device during taxi, according to Fox 8 Cleveland. Though reluctantly turning off the device and sitting down when asked by an attendant, he again returned to the lavatory to use the device during takeoff.
After leaving his seat for a third time, Alramakh reportedly hurled obscenities at and shoved a flight attendant.
The incident resulted in Alramakh's being restrained while allegedly trying to kick and spit on people. The plane made an emergency landing in Cleveland.
Alramakh was arrested by the FBI July 11, and pleaded not guilty in court July 12. He was held on $1 million bond, reports The Canadian Press.
The charge of interfering with a flight crew member or attendant is a federal felony. He was indicted in a federal court in Cleveland.
Alramakh is not the only one to get belligerent on a flight lately. In June, a fistfight on a United plane to Ghana led to an F-16 escort. And, in May, an American passenger had to be wrestled to the ground after pounding on the cockpit door.
Oh, and who can forget Octomom getting into a mid-air fight with actress Kristen Johnston earlier this month.

July 22 2011 at 11:06 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySTOP the racism! All kind of people have done that and Americans are not the best behave people in the planes either, here of when we travel abroad too. Not just in the planes, but in the restaurants and in other places too. I can attest to that! Let the Law take care of those people who ever they are.

July 20 2011 at 4:56 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyTHERE IS ALWAYS A JERK IN THE CROWD.
SOMETIMES THE AIRLINES PERSONNEL ARE RUDE AND TREAT THE PASSENGERS;LIKE THEY ARE DOING YOU A FAVOR TO LET YOU FLY WITH THEM. BUT I ALWAYS BITE MY TONGUE "GRIN & BEAR IT"
THE TIME TO COMPLAIN IS NOT ABOARD THE PLANE; BUT WHEN YOU ARRIVE.,GO TO A SUPERVISOR AND INFORMED THEM ; GIVING THE NAME OF THE ATENDANT. FLIGHT # & TIME..... IF YOU DON'T GET AN APOLOGY DON'T FLY WITH THEM AGAIN.
If you REALLY can't stay off your cell phone on a plane during "no cell phone" times, you seriously need to examine your inflated sense of self-importance.
July 20 2011 at 11:22 AM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyIt wasn't the cell phone use... He was in that one lavatory three times.. Twice with the seatbelt sign on. The fourth time he jumped out of his seat and accosted the flight attendant.
July 22 2011 at 11:08 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDon't worry if he loses his studen visa - ICE doesn't hunt them down when it's expired.
July 20 2011 at 11:16 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyWell, there goes his student visa out the window.
July 20 2011 at 10:59 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyIf he's not an American citizen, send him back to his own country and ban re-entry for life. Who needs these kinds of "students" in our country?
