According to the paper, if convicted of being a stowaway and trying to enter a secure airport area by fraud or false pretenses, Olajide faces up to 15 years in prison.

Olajide Noibi, a Nigerian man who managed to take a Virgin America flight from J.F.K. to Los Angeles on Friday using an outdated boarding pass that wasn't in his name was arrested Wednesday at LAX during an apparent attempt at a repeat performance.
ABC reports that Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi was taken into custody at Los Angeles International after he showed up at the airport carrying more than ten outdated boarding passes and tried to fly to Atlanta. Noibi was charged with being a stowaway. He will be fined and could even face jail time.
An FBI investigation is underway, but an FBI spokesman has already said there is no reason to believe that Noibi was a threat to anyone. The freeloader's entire plot was predicated, after all, on airport personnel paying no attention to their jobs and unraveled completely when a Delta gate agent refused to let him board a plane carrying somebody else's ticket.
A Virgin America stewardess also discovered Noibi's ruse, but only after the plane was in the air, CNN reports.
Apparently, the stowaway told law enforcement personnel that he managed to get through security using just a University of Michigan student ID and a police report saying his passport had been stolen.
The TSA has released a rather sheepish statement saying that Noibi did go through security: "It is important to note that this passenger was subject to the same physical screening at the checkpoint as other passengers."
At least he wasn't carrying a water bottle.

Let's see, this guy was just "flying around" the country for free. What was he trying to do, stay alive on the free peanuts they serve on the various flights?
Plus, the wonderful mental giants at the TSA (the "troubling security apparatus") let this guy through security with a student ID from where? U of Michigan!! (Do they know what the Muslin population of Michigan is? It rivals Mecca for Christ's sake.)
Of course the guy taking the free rides is just a poor, abused, mistreated African, the product of colonialism, racism, and an unjust world.
Mabe he wanted to avoid a titty twister

July 19 2011 at 5:56 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyPut him on a Jet and take him up to 36,000 ft. and then throw him out of the Jet, if he survives the fall then drop all charges against him. Solution to Stowaway problems.
July 19 2011 at 5:20 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyOK! Let me get this straight! A Nigerian with false papers, expired boarding passes gets through security at "JFK" freakin' airport and flies to LAX and is on his return trip before they notice something isn't right?!! Well can't really blame airport security, they were probably busy strip searching some old white woman in a wheelchair dying of cancer.

July 19 2011 at 5:13 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyInstead of jailing Noibi, the authorities should thank him profusely. He actually discovered a way to get through security and board a plane illegally. Perhaps Security will be less lax from now on. I hope the kid gets off, he deserves it. Lol.
July 19 2011 at 2:08 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyPraise God.
The Bible tells us;
"The way of the transgressor is hard." And; "The way of the wicked is as darkness, they know not at what they stumble."
But what if this man had evil intentions on the flight? I have to go through all kinds of security like everyone else, so why didn't this guy get caught?. Most TSA agents look to me like their IQ is about 65, so why should we be surprised at this "slipup"?
