Thomson will become Britain's first airline to do so, following in the footsteps of Dutch airline KLM, which announced last week that, beginning in September, 200 flights between Amsterdam and Paris will run on recycled cooking oil.
The flights will leave from Birmingham in the U.K. to Mallorca starting July 28, once safety clearance is given, the Daily Mail reports.
Thomson Airways will use a 50/50 blend of jet fuel and hydropocessed esters and fatty acids made from used cooking oil.
Is anyone else wondering where they're getting all this used cooking oil?
