Man in Women's Underwear Allowed to Fly US Airways
TEXT SIZE:
A A AThe unidentified passenger wore a blue ensemble: tighter knickers, a tie-front sheer coverlet, thigh-high socks and sky-high heels. (For an elderly gentleman, he had very nice legs.)
"We don't have a dress code policy," U.S. Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder told the San Francisco Chronicle, which obtained a photograph of the scandalous flyer. "If they're not exposing their private parts, they're allowed to fly."
The arrest of Deshon Marman triggered some discussion of racial profiling and Marman's lawyer was eager to strum that chord after the cross-dressing pic surfaced, telling the Chronicle: "A white man is allowed to fly in underwear without question, but my client was asked to pull up his pajama pants because they hung below his waist."
U.S. Airways has maintained its position that Marman was removed from his flight because he failed to comply with a captain's request, not because his attire was somehow not up to snuff.

UPDATE: We owe a thank you to commenter Brett Smith, who caught this indiscrete gentleman on video in the Charlotte Airport. Mr. Smith was not alone. Turns out videos of this fellow, who calls himself Howard in one clip, are basically a YouTube genre.

June 27 2011 at 3:13 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySince I have seen him 2 times at the Charlotte Airport it was not staged. And the amount of outfits is greater than 2.
June 24 2011 at 7:57 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHow come none of the people on this board noticed that this flamer was wearing two different outfits? Was this whole article and photos staged?
June 24 2011 at 1:17 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe pilot tried to tell people, but they thought it was just the Gin talking.
June 25 2011 at 5:39 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyFor some reason, he just looks smelly. Blech!
June 23 2011 at 2:50 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down Replylol it is funny. I doubt if they "welcomed him with open arms" I love the way reporters embelish. If he wants to look like an idiot he has that right, if I wanted to change my seat if put next to him, I wonder if I could have done that? I wouldn't have changed anyway, I would be talking to him letting him know that he wasn't making a fashion statement only looking silly. Looking silly is still no crime. If it was everyone with baggy pants would be in jail.

June 23 2011 at 2:19 PM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyUS air should fly him free to a mental health clinic. He must be Frederick of Hollywood. It would be too creepy to sit next that half naked alien on a flight.
June 23 2011 at 1:43 PM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyOne other question (that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, sorry) -----in the first video, why is the "Bounty" commercial in Spanish? This isn't Hispanic Voices, this is America Online. America...where the native language is English.......
June 23 2011 at 1:34 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down Reply**ALL* of the commercials are in Spanish! WTH?
