The unidentified woman who caused quite a stir on Sunday by telling airport authorities there was a bomb on a Washington, D.C.-bound flight was placed in the custody of mental health professionals after claiming she'd been told about the device by God.

U.S Airways flight 2596 was en route from Dayton with 44 passengers on board on Sunday afternoon when the 54-year-old Kentucky native, who has a history of mental health issues, informed authorities at the Dayton International Airport that there was a bomb on board, the Dayton Daily News reports.

Dayton Airport Director Terrance Slaybaugh told the paper that the as-yet-unidentified woman "indicated that she had got a message from God and had come to the airport and told the ticket counter agent that the flight had to turn around because there was a bomb on it and people were going to die or something to that effect. That's what started our little adventure."

The flight was closer to its destination of Washington Reagan and continued on, landing safely. The airport was closed for roughly 20 minutes while the FBI swept the plane.

FBI Special Agent Michael Brooks told the paper that the woman was in "mental health custody" at Miami Valley Hospital. She is not yet facing charges.

Law enforcement officials also inspected her car, which was parked at the Airport and found nothing.

Karl Marx was right, religion is the opiate of the masses. It numbs minds and turns rational minds into irrational pools of pudding and silly putty. Muslim Terrorist, Christian Right Bigots, Jewish Elitists. They're all the same. I'll be willing to bet this woman's coo-cooness is due in a large part to the ravings of some ulltra-religious group. like that Babtist nut in Kansas who desicrates war dead burials. God must be laughing. Or crying. I remember as a Catholic when eating meat on Friday was a sin that could condemn you to eternal Hell. Then, the Catholic Church decided it wasn't a sin anymore. I asked a priest, "tell me Father, all those Catholics who ate meat and went to Hell, have they now been paroled and are now on their way to Heaven?"

Plainly mentally disturbed woman hears voices she thinks are from God - you blame religion. Tell me, when Son Of Sam murdered people because he thought his dog was telling him to, did you blame dogs? Just wondering.

"to use America's nuclear arsenal to start the Apocalypse so Jesus will come back".............Wrong religion. It is the titular "Religion of Peace" that actively seeks to bring on the end times. Christians were told to wait passively and clean up their own act. In Christianity, it is the Ant-Christ that precipitates Armegeddon. I doubt a person would become president to start the end of times by claiming God told him to do it unless he was willing to admit to being the Anti-Christ - which kinda defeats your logic.

It is within logic to presume that any real AntiChrist worth his weight in gall and knowing the gullibility of sheep would appear to the world in the glowing garb of a Christian prophet in the White House, ready to pre-emptively defend God himself from the infidel hordes of Al-Satani. www.postpubco.com/blasphemy.htm

Also worth noting Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are not three religions, but three warring factions all having the same root, like a cannibalistic hydra. Each is now nuclear armed and ready to destroy the world to prove their version of the ancient occult mythology, idolatry, and sorcery of the Abraham-based cults is the absolute truth. There is a point at which it does not matter whether it is true or not, only that people are ready to behave as though it were true, without regard for the empirical consequences.

She is exactly the same kind of person as those who believe God told them to drown their children, kill the doctors, or run for the Presidency so as to use America's nuclear arsenal to start the Apocalypse so Jesus will come back. www.postpubco.com/blasphemy.htm

To Ms. Aleutta (writer of this article), I certainly hope you read these posts so you realize how bad your English is!! "The Kentucky native......INFORMATED authorities....."
Where in the world did you receive your education? Did you even take courses in English???? The word is INFORMED. I realize schools do not educate nearly as well as they used to in the United States, but you really need to go back for a refresher course!!

Damn... it was one word. Just one. And it was clearly fixed (or the mistake never occurred, either way, it's gone now).

For fun, let's play by your rules: OMG you ended a word with IS! Are you an uneducated hillbilly??????????????????????? Use better GRAMMAR!! Misspelling the author's name at the same time should qualify you for social security since you are obviously disabled by stupidity!!1!!one!!

Hmm, that was kinda fun. Moving along :)

Seems like if terriorists can bomb people for their god, then the woman's god can warn people about it. Which declaration - of doing the will of god do people think is really crazy? One at least is for good and one is for evil? It's more disturbing to use god as excuse to bomb innocents than to use god for the purpose to save people from bomb. She's an anti-terrorist. She hasn't harmed anyone.

Are you kidding? What good did she do? There was no bomb. The FBI was called in to investigate her imaginary bomb claim. Do you think they work for free? Taxpayer money gets wasted because of her, not to mention the disruption she caused to hundreds of people's flight schedules.
