Numbers 93 and 175 went back into use likely within the past few days, apparently due to a technical error, the Associated Press reports.
United Flight 93 crashed into Shanksville, Pa. while flight 175 was flown into one of the World Trade Center towers.
United spokesman Rahsaan Johnson told the AP: "The airline regrets the recent use of flight numbers 93 and 175, and has taken steps to remove the numbers from the airline's computer system."
Time magazine's blog writes that one possible reason for the glitch might be due to flight number updates because of the United/Continental merger that was finalized in 2010.

I spoke with 3 agents and couldn't understand a word they said. My exwife was philapina so I was used to a Togalag dialect. United simply doesn't care about it's customers, they are the bottom of the barrel in comfort, service, etc.

May 19 2011 at 5:41 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyIf people feel so strongly that the flight numbers should be retired out of respect for the people who died that day.
Why not eliminate all flights on Sept/11
I do not know about UNITED except that it is trying to squeeze the average passenger to an experience
equal to poverty; no meals, no nothing!
On the other hand, i recently traveled to Morocco on DELTA and my bag was lost in NYC, so I endured my
business trip with little and nothing. When I returned via Madrid, the DELTA staff went out of their way to
track my bag. It required numerous e.mails, 34 days, discovery that my bag had been robbed of specialized
equipment. That is SERVICE!
Thank you DELTA!!!

They rather have (Communist China) do aircraft maintenance then Americans. You wonder why the employment is so high.
