Scorpion Found on US Airways Airplane
TEXT SIZE:

The scorpion was discovered as the plane was pulling away from its gate at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.
It seems like critters are causing quite a problem these days, as rat droppings "too numerous to count" were just discovered on a Delta aircraft.
Passengers on the flight, which originated in Houston, Texas, transferred planes and continued to their destination of Newark, New Jersey, NBC News reports.
The aircraft is being fumigated and will return to service.

Have you people commenting ever been stung by one? I have and it hurt like hell for a minute and then your toe swells up and it is numb.....Mine came home with me after climbing in my beach bag. It took a cruise with me and came home in my tennis shoe to Houston! It came home on a plane also!

April 23 2011 at 8:28 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyPeople watch too many old, B grade, horror films. Saying a scorpion is on a plane is like saying they found a spider or bee on one. Yes, it could sting you, but....unless you are allergic to them, it would hurt a while and go away.
April 23 2011 at 7:56 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyStep on the scorpion and then get on with the flight. I have found them in my house on several occasions and i have never evacuated nor fumigated my house. I squash them with a shoe and then flush them down the toilet.
