TEXT SIZE:
A A ASunsets. They're always pretty magical. Whether watching from a wild, rugged stretch of shoreline, a pristine stretch of sand backed by palm trees or with a cool beer in an out-of-the-way beach bar, we defy anyone not to be wowed by one of Mother Nature's best light shows.

Want to vacation in these sun traps? Just drop them a line and they'll take it from there.
Clifton Two, Cape Town, South Africa
This is where Capetonians come to shake off the shackles of their working day. It doesn’t take long. It’s not all sitting around sipping a cool one, though; while bat and ball is happening on shore, surfs-up off shore. Simple pleasures here: Sink a couple of beers and watch the paddle surfers glide across the bay.

April 21 2011 at 3:22 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe La Jolla pick is a joke...Everybody knows locally that the best sunset view in San Diego if not Southern California is from Sunset Cliffs in Point Loma/Ocean Beach NOT overpriced richy rich La Jolla...and how do you leave out the sun setting behind the Olympic Mountain Range from Golden Gardens Beach in Seattle...the effect it has on Puget Sound is nothing short of mystical and magical.
