Just in time for Easter comes the story of a Kansas clown who dresses up as a bunny and had a hassle with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) over a basket of colorful, confetti-filled eggs.

Valerie Baul, 35, of Roeland Park, Ks., is usually in the business of making people smile as the singing and juggling "Bunny Lady," a role for which she dons a fuzzy pink and green costume with ears.

But she wasn't singing after an encounter with a TSA agent at Philadelphia International Airport, reports Fox 4 Kansas City.

Baul faces charges of harassment after a TSA agent inquired about the basket of eggs, which Baul says had just passed through an airport security X-ray machine.

"She said, 'What are those?' And I said, 'Well, they're eggs filled with confetti. You want to see what's inside? Here you go, you win, let's find out together.' And I put it on her head. And I didn't think anything of it," Baul, who was wearing pink bunny ears at the time, tells the TV outlet.

The TSA agent was not amused to be showered with confetti. Airport police authorities were called and Baul, who is also a community radio DJ in Kansas, says she was handcuffed and ended up being incarcerated at the airport for three hours. The incident occurred Valentine's Day weekend.

The "Bunny Lady" is due in court in Philadelphia in September on a misdemeaner harassment charge.

A TSA spokesman tells AOL Travel News the agency is cooperating with local authorities in the case, but declined to comment further.

Americans are more likely to get struck by lightning than killed by a terrorist, that is why the Homeland Security’s anti-American tattle-tale program is about political persecution, not genuine safety.

Hello, I am Michael K o bzina, a business owner, and GOP District Captain in Denver Colorado. So, now we have TSA agents accosting people outside of the security areas AFTER they have passed the scan? Now we have these SUB-PAR society rejects feeling-up our children, and expanding their BS in train stations, bus stations, and soon putting checkpoints on our roadways? You know, JUST youtube: aaron russo 911.... Aaron was a true patriot, and movie producer. Better yet, youtube: loose change 2nd .... We have all been duped by the likes of JP MORGAN, David Rockefeller, Zbignew Brzinsky, Dick Cheney, Queen Beatrice, The Black Pope, Ben Bernanke, Geithner, and Evelyn de Rothschild. The New World Order Elite cannot succeed in their one world government, and one world currency, unless we all aquiess... Oh, I am sorry, go back to drinking your over-fluoridated tap-water, and watching sports, and celebrity "news"... (just joking) -- Actually, let''s all fix this mess at the grass-roots with informing our neighbors and friends about the private Company of the "FEDeral" Reserve.... END THE FED.... and END THE TSA - Nazi goon squads only adding $60 to the price of every plane ticket.

What this woman did was completely juvenile. She was in the airport going through security. The average adult knows there are rules to be followed here and smashing a plastic egg over an employee's head was completely unwarranted.

Meanwhile, TSA is busy groping innocent children and actors. This is a totally dysfunctional and abusive agency. They must hire from from the bottom of the labor pool. No one with any sense of decency would work for TSA and I know I wouldn't hire anyone who had that agency on their resume.

Less than 12% of passengers go through the naked scanners but taxpayers pay $60 to fund screening for every passenger each time they take off for a total cost of $46 billion per year. If these people want to pay $60 each to get groped but workers hired off of pizza box ads then let them pay for it and let the rest of us put gas in our cars. This is nothing more than an airline subsidy.

This whole TSA thing is a complete joke. On a recent flight out of MCI the first "security" guy was wearing coke bottle glasses and had to squint to read my license. I don't believe he could read a 72 point headline much less the fine print on the document. The clowns maning the scanner were not that much better, allowing a guy with a back pack to waltz through without any more check than a glance. I guess the machine would have caught a bomb, maybe not. Meanwhile a bearded man with two ( I guess) women in full burka type garb were escorted into the waiting area at the same time an enderly man was being wanded and patted down. This is security? Let's stop this PC crap once and for all and let sanity become reality.

How about optional TSA free domestic flights for those of us willing to face the risk of a terrorist attack vs the surity of a TSA attack.

Would someone please tell me what good TSA does. I think it's been shown/proved that if a terrorist wanted to target a plane, it wouldn't be through the normal boarding process. Nevertheless, all of us have to go through "the drill". I know the ecomony is tough, and to a large extent this is a "make work" program. But pleassssssssse! Couldn't someone do "negative profiling" and realize a woman in a bunny suit may be a little "wacky", but isn't very likely to be a harm to anyone - except to a few young children who she will undoubtedly scare the hell of of.

Perhaps if you mess with the bull you shouldn't cry when you get the horns.
