Visitors to Las Vegas can book the entire 150-suite Rumor hotel for $13,000 a night. It may not be the most expensive hotel stay in Vegas but it is certainly the most spacious.

Officials at the hip, non-gaming hotel say the full-property rental deal is valid from June 15 to December 27, based on availability.

"We wanted to create a hotel experience that was unconventional and fun, yet definitely urban and sophisticated," says Stephen Siegel, CEO, The Siegel Group, which opened the boutique hotel in July. "With only 150 rooms, we thought why not offer the entire hotel for an affordable price? Who hasn't wanted to play like Eloise did at the famed Plaza for just one night?"

Individual suites at the boutique hotel run from about $79 to $599 based on published rates. Rumor is located just east of the Las Vegas Strip, and across from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

No one has reserved the whole hotel for $13,000 yet, says Rumor spokesman, Michael Crandall. But, he adds, wedding season is right around the corner and the hotel does come with its own private DJ.

The two-story hotel has a lounge-like lobby, a rolling green lawn and a pool with cabanas and daybeds. There's free Wi-Fi throughout.

Rumor touts the fact it is pet-friendly -- dogs are welcome and there is even a doggy park with faux fire hydrants. The hotel does not have its own gym or casino.

While the $13,000 rental does not include any meals or beverages, Addiction, run by chef Vic Vegas, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers "tapatizers" all day and night.

Rumor occupies what was the former St. Tropez, a down-at-the-heels property built in the late 1980s for business travelers. The Siegel Group purchased the property for $10.5 million in 2009, and then put another $4 million into creating Rumor.

The company also owns the boutique Artisan Hotel across town.

Typical Vegas!!!! Humungous rip-off,just like everything else there. Skip the trip & go gamble @ a nearby casino--they're everywhere.

Hmmm, $13k a night. I guess I better skip on outta' here and peruse that "5 Tips for Sleeping in Your Car" article because I can read the writin' on the wall. And sadly, it's not on a hotel room wall, either.
