Although details on the exact Royal Wedding parade route have yet to be released, the journey typically follows a path past many famous London landmarks.
The Royal Wedding parade route will begin at Westminster Abbey, the official church of the royal family where the wedding ceremony is set to take place. The Royal Wedding ceremony is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., and is expected to last around an hour.
Around noon, the newlywed couple will emerge from the church and begin a grand carriage procession. The route will pass through Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and the Mall before it ends at the site of the Royal Wedding reception, Buckingham Palace.
Royal Wedding Parade Route Passes These London Landmarks:
Westminster Abbey: The official church of the royal family, this medieval architectural masterpiece is expected to fill to capacity of 2,000 people.
Parliament Square: This open green area outside the house of Parliament is a famous site for rallies and protests, but will likely be filled with thousands of curious onlookers on the date of the Royal Wedding.
Whitehall: This road is the main artery running from Parliament Square to Trafalgar Square, one of the most famous squares in the world that is packed with fountains, monuments, and museums.
Horse Guards Parade: Just off of Whitehall is the House Guards Parade, a parade ground where two mounted cavalry regiments begin marching for the regal Changing of the Guard ceremony.
The Mall: Lined with colorful flags from around the world, the mall links Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace via the Admiralty Arch.
Buckingham Palace: Prince Charles will host a dinner party for Prince William and Kate Middleton at Buckingham Palace, the official home of British royalty since 1837.

This is going to be the event of the year. Some people say that there will be more people than at the Olympics. I don't know if it is going to be like that, but tourism specialists certainly predict overbooking in all London hotels .
