Carnival Cruise Lines Puts Europe On Sale
TEXT SIZE:

Carnival Cruise Lines is sweetening the pot on Europe cruises this summer with free upgrades and onboard credits of up to $300 per cabin, for reservations made by Jan. 30.
The deals are on the soon-to-debut, 3,690-passenger Carnival Magic, cruising the Mediterranean from Barcelona.
The ship, currently under construction in Italy, will cruise on seven, nine and 12-day itineraries from May 1 to Oct. 16.
The "best available" upgrade applies to specific cabin types – if you book an ocean view cabin you'll be upgraded to the "best available" ocean view; if you book a balcony cabin, the upgrade is to a better balcony cabin.
The shipboard credits, which passengers can use in any way they choose including for drinks, shore excursions or spa treatments, are based on how long you cruise -- $200 for shorter cruises, $250 for the nine-night, $300 for the 12-day.
The Carnival Magic introduces new features including the Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Pub serving the cruise line's own private label beer, the Cucina del Capitano Italian specialty restaurant, featuring family-style Italian fare, and the SportSquare outdoor recreation complex, which includes the first outdoor ropes course at sea.
After the inaugural Europe season, the Carnival Magic will do weeklong Caribbean cruises from Galveston, Texas, beginning Nov. 14, becoming that port's largest year-round cruise ship.

Be on the first sailing and bring extra vidio cameras so as to capture the replay of the Titanic! Make sure the cameras are water proof and stored in something that will float. That way when other ships arrive to assist the passengers in life boats or hanging on to
anything that will float, someone will find your floating cameras and you can sell the story to a major pix company. However, if the ship sinks due to a rouge wave, there could be few or none of the life boats able to be launched. On this same web page is the story of the cruise ship that hit massive waves in the antartica. How much did Carnival say they woulday the first passengers to take the maiden voiage??? Fred Gramcko
Sounds like a great deal, but thank you for the warning, Captain. I'm sure for some people it could be the discount adventure of a lifetime, although your information is definitely an eye opener! I will occasionally book a trip for parties i know may not be able to join us "just in case" knowing that i need to get them off the itinerary before the grace period expires should they decide to decline. I will DEFINITELY double check the fine print from now on!
