A Massachusetts man has died after being hit by a bus at Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Robert Krueger, 69, of Yarmouth Port, Mass., was in the parking lot at the Port Orleans resort at the time of the accident. He died at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Authorities from the Florida Highway Patrol say when he was hit Krueger was not in a crosswalk, and the bus had the right of way. An investigation was underway, but the bus driver was not expected to be charged.

Walt Disney World says in a statement, "We offer our deepest condolences to the guests' family and loved ones. We are doing all we can for them during this difficult time."

This is the second death at Walt Disney World involving a bus this year. A Florida boy was hit and killed by a bus in April when he was riding a bike near Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort campground.

My deepest sypathy to the family of loss.
We've been to Disney about 6 times. One look around and you should be aware that there is alot going on, and yes these buses, trams, trains are moving to there stops very quickly. We have witnessed where people are negligent the signs will say for safety reasons but everyone follows these rules. this is a time of grievance, not to attack folks. Be on guard for yourself and your children. Accidents happen everywhere everyday its unfortunate.
Be safe people we are all in a hurry to get somewhere.

Some of those bus drivers can drive crazy. One time in particular when coming back to Animal kingdom Lodge at the end of the night the bus was PACKED with people including people of all ages standing. The guy was speeding like crazy and taking turns that we were all screaming thinking the bus was going to tip over. There were people contsantly falling in the aisle because of his driving. Then nearly he took out the gate arm once he got to the entrance of our resort and then he sat there at the gate for about 15 mins refusing to let us off the bus. Everyone was PISSED at the driver on that bus and when we FINALLY got off at least 1/3 of the passangers including me went to the resorts front desk to complian. A couple days later I went back to the front desk to ask what disney did to displine the driver but they wouldn't tell me and seemed to have no interest.

I had great advice as a child, LOOK BOTH WAYS WHEN YOU CROSS THE STREET, USE YOUR EYES THEN YOUR FEET

You need to look both ways, before crossing the street, whether you are in a crosswalk or not. It is the pedestrian's responsibility not to step out in front of any vehicle. Was this man blind? If so, he will need to fire his seeing-eye dog!

Yes he should have been in a crosswalk, but a crosswalk does not mean that a person cannot get run over. Those lines on the road do NOT stop a car/bus/truck etc. It is NOT a magic zone with invisible walls to protect pedestrians. I see so many people just waltz right on in front of oncoming traffic thinking that they are completely safe because of the crosswalk and they 'have the right of way'. When I cross a street or even walk down the sidewalk or through the parking lot to the grocery store entrance, I look around and KNOW that if it comes down to a collision between me and a big metal vehicle, I am going to be the loser. Crosswalk or not, the guy should have been aware of the big bus coming at him AND the bus driver should have seen the fellow too and made every effort to stop in time. And he may have done so, it doesn't say. Not being in a crosswalk doesn't make a person fair game to run over either.

How do you know that he didn`t commit "suicide by bus" so that his family can sue the hell out of WDW and get a large settlement.
I say check his medicial records, he might have been terminal with no life insurance.

The only thing magical about DW is the way your money disappears when you take take your family for the day.
