Norwegian Cruise Line Offers Free Upgrades

Book a sailing aboard any Norwegian Cruise Line ship between now and March 27th and get a free cabin upgrade.

The "Free Upgrades for All" promotion allows cruisers to receive up to a four-category upgrade at no extra cost, as well as a bundle of coupons for onboard spending valued at $400.

The sale signals the early start of "Wave Season," the period typically running from mid-January to early spring that is considered the most important booking period in the cruise industry.

A swell of other promotions from other lines is likely to be announced in the coming weeks.

"Our special Wave season offers make this the perfect time to book a cruise for 2011 and beyond," said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line's chief executive officer, in a press release.

The line also plans to launch bi-weekly promotions on select ships and destinations beginning January 3, 2011.
