Discovering Virginia Beach Condominiums
Whether you need more space and privacy for you or your family, find hotels to be too expensive or crowded, or can't find a last-minute hotel in Virginia beach, condos are often an option. But where do you go to find out more about them? One popular online destination is VacationRentals.com.
When you begin using the site, you'll want to look to the right and filter by night, week, or months. Once you select one of those options, the opportunity to narrow down the minimum and maximum price opens up. You can apply additional search criteria like number of bedrooms, pet access, and reviewed sites. As of this writing, I was able to narrow down listings to those that were $1000 or less a week, had two bedrooms, and were reviewed. I found an excellent option directly off the beach that ranged between $495 and $995 a week -- depending on time of year -- and had three glowing reviews. At the lowest rate during the offseason, you would average $70 a night, still quite a bargain for Virginia Beach condos.
HomeAway.com is another fully-featured option and is actually the parent company of VacationRentals.com. HomeAway has similar features to VacationRentals, though it lacks a sort feature for nightly, weekly, and monthly rates. One minor warning: don't be alarmed when you sort by price. When sorting from low to high prices, it may look initially like the sort didn't work properly. This isn't necessarily the case, however. Some owners choose to only rent by the month. It seems that HomeAway averages those monthly rates and places them in a weekly sort. That said, both sites help you immensely in your search for Virginia Beach condos.
A Few More Tips about Virginia Beach Rentals
Here are a few more things to keep in mind when looking for Virginia Beach rentals:
• Note that some Virginia Beach condo owners will have a wide range in their weekly pricing. (See the previously mentioned example.) Those owners adjust the price of their rental based on the time of season. This is actually an attractive option for those seeing Virginia Beach on a budget during the offseason.
• It's easy to believe that condo rates will get cheaper the farther from the beach you get. You may be surprised to find some real bargain Virginia Beach condos right on the coast. Don't give up on finding affordable beach condos as they will put you close to the top 10 attractions in Virginia Beach.
• While many condos go unreviewed, some get their fair share of press. Don't forget to read any reviews that are available.
