Happy Hour in Tulsa

Still, people in Tulsa love their drink specials as much as they do anywhere else, and there are more than a few bars that have learned to work around the red tape. Here are some to get you started:
Arnie's Bar
Recently relocated to the Blue Dome District, Arnie's Bar is a laid back Irish pub with a 50-year history in Tulsa. This local bar has a backyard patio with an oasis of trees, a perfect place to enjoy something cold. Everyone loves the shuffleboard table and attentive bartenders, and to sweeten the deal, Arnie's has some killer drink specials. There are too many to name, but to give you just a sampling, Tuesday $2.50 Boulevard Wheat, Wednesday $5 pitchers, Thursday $1.50 Miller and Coors Light, and Free Pizza Friday 5PM till gone!

Caz's Pub
Caz's is a fun spot located in the Brady Arts District right in the middle of downtown Tulsa, and it's usually full of locals just out for a good time – especially if you visit for happy hour. In Tulsa, Caz's may be best known for the antler of bras where ladies are welcome to make donations for a free beer. Happy hour is pretty popular too. It runs Monday through Saturday from 2PM to 7PM, Sunday 5PM-7PM and 10PM to close. Weekly happy hour specials include: Monday Corona and Tecate, $2 Tamales till they're gone, Tuesday 2 for $2 Miller Hi-Life and PBR, Wednesday Ladies Night $1.50 Boulevard Wheat after 7PM, Thursday Men's Night Free PBR with Jager shot, and Friday Free Food with your beer.

Vintage 1740
Perfect for ambiance and conversation, Vintage 1740 is located downtown. This wine bar boasts an eclectic style that can be seen in the wall color, furniture, and even the drink selections. This trendy hot spot in Tulsa offers happy hour specials from 4PM-7PM. Specials include beers for $2.25 each and a mix of red and white wine for $5 a glass.

The Soundpony Lounge
Dismantled bike parts strung about a brick wall, industrial foil pipes running through the ceiling and furniture fresh from IKEA make The Soundpony Lounge a hipster's paradise. Challenge your bench neighbor to a game of Atari while you enjoy your $1 glass of High Life and free hotdog at happy hour from 3PM-9PM each day. With lots of micro beers on tap, The Soundpony Lounge features music that ranges from electronic to fusion. Live bands perform on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and Tuesday is trivia night.

Brook Restaurant and Bar
The Art Deco Brook Theater opened for movies in 1945 and, for 15 years, it showed favorites like South Pacific. As a testament to its history, Brook Restaurant still houses an enormous projector and numerous flat screen TVs. A fun place to watch NFL Sunday Ticket or March Madness, Brook also lets you enjoy a heaping plate of cheddar cheese fries while you watch the game. Happy hour specials include $1.75 domestic bottled beer, $3 Boulevard Wheat Beer and $4 frozen margaritas each day from 3PM-6PM. Wine is priced by the glass.

James E. McNellie's Public House
McNellie's Public House just feels warm inside, with the oak finish on the bar tops and along the walls and staircases. It maintains a cozy feel even though it's quite spacious. Grab a pint. They have over 360 beers to choose from. Head upstairs for a game of shuffleboard or relax on one of the plush sofas. There are lots of drink and food specials to choose from, like Monday Pint Night featuring a free pint glass with your beer and Wednesday $3 Burger & Fries Night from 5PM-11PM. A unique offering at McNellie's is their Beer University where you can sample a group of 20 beers, learn about bitters, pale and dark for just $25.

White Owl Pub
Located in a two-story brick house that looks like a flat taken straight from London, White Owl is a mix of industrial and contemporary styles. You'll find waves of international flags hanging proudly from the warehouse ceiling. The wall-long bench seat is a great place to lean back and do a little people watching, and when you're ready to try something different, you can just head upstairs for some games. Happy hour in this restaurant includes specials like $2 PBR Monday-Friday and $5 pizza on Mondays from 11AM to 12AM.

The Hunt Club Pub and Grub
In the Brady Arts District of downtown Tulsa, The Hunt Club hosts an array of local musicians with a new gig playing every night of the week. The only exception is Monday when they have open mic night. Weather permitting, the patio is open, and there is a new upstairs loft where you can enjoy your beer and greasy bar food goodness. From 4PM-7PM each night, you can enjoy $2 domestics, $3 Blue Moon, and $3 Boulevard Wheat if you choose The Hunt Club as your destination for happy hour in Tulsa.

Cosmo
The name does not disappoint. Cosmo's is a great place to enjoy a great cocktail. They never let their drinks get stale, churning up the menu every season for refreshments that fit the mood. An incredibly versatile spot with tons of board games and comfortable living room seating, Cosmo's also features a bar and café-style tables and chairs. With lots of monthly themes and parties, you won't be surprised to find that this Tulsa favorite has happy hour specials from 2PM-7PM. These specials include draught $2 pints, $7.50 pitchers, and Boulevard Wheat and Blue Moon bottles for $1.50. Cosmo's also offers 10 specialty drinks and beers that change monthly, including Peach Cosmos, Rum Punch, Dundee's Honey Brown, and Sierra Nevada. All of these selections are offered for $3.50.
