Enjoy an adventure you won't forget when the city of Philadelphia spreads out beneath you as you soar overhead. The introductory lesson includes teaching and flying with a certified instructor at Fox Choppers. The company also offers helicopter tours of the city and is one of the best travel adventures Philadelphia has to offer. Enjoy this highflying adventure activity in Philadelphia if you dare.

2. Interactive Improvisational Comedy
If flying is not daring enough, try flying "by the seat of your pants" at ComedySportz, an improve troupe with audience participation. Evoking the improvisational "games" on the television show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" performers ask for input from the audience to direct the course of every scenario created. Depending on the input, results are usually hilarious. ComedySport is located at The Adrienne between Walnut and Chestnut Streets. ComedySportz has two shows on Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and 10pm. The price of admission is $15 per ticket.
ComedySportz, The Playground at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103; 877-985-2844; Shows Sat 7:30PM & 10PM; Admission $12 & $15
3. Ghost Tour
It's scary to imagine the ghosts that potentially haunt Philadelphia. The city certainly saw its share of strife and struggle during the birth of America. One of the best daring activities in Philadelphia is to take a 90-minute walking candlelight tour offered by Philadelphia Ghost Tour through Independence Park, several graveyards, and parts of Society Hill. The tour begins at Signers Garden at 5th and Chestnut Streets. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office, which opens nightly at 6:30pm, but advance tickets are recommended.
Philadelphia Ghost Tour, 401 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106; 215-413-1997, 215-413-7000; Apr-Nov nightly 7:30PM-9PM; Adults $17, Children (ages 4-12) $8
4. Overnight on the Battleship New Jersey
If you ever imagined what it would be like to live on a real battleship, but never dared to join the military, try a family adventure in Philadelphia and spend the night on the Battleship New Jersey. Overnight stays are offered on Friday and Saturday evenings from June through September and include a tour of the ship, which is the length of several football fields. Interact with the crew, check out the Captain's quarters and gobble grub like the real guys. The Battleship New Jersey is immense, measuring eleven stories high. Minimum age for an overnight stay is 6.

5. Fez
Philadelphia is renowned for its cuisine. In recent decades, the problem hasn't been finding a good place to eat so much as choosing from the dizzying array. On a dare, though, escape to Morocco via Philly and eat at Fez Moroccan Restaurant. Be ready to eat according to custom, which is with your hands. The restaurant transports you into a Moroccan tent, with plush cushions and low seating at round tables. The atmosphere is authentic-looking with brass lanterns, Hookah pipes and belly dancing. The waiters wash your hands over a large, brass basin with rose-infused water. On weekends, $25 with a minimum of two people buys a 7-course meal, all of which is consumed with the hands, except for soup. If you're not sure that lamb, honey and almonds go together, think again and lick your fingers!
Fez, 620 S 2nd St; Philadelphia, PA 19147; 215-925-5367
