Passengers on the Holland America Line cruise ship Prinsendam got quite a surprise when a power paraglider made an emergency landing on the deck. The incident happened while the ship was docked in Portimao in the Algarve region of Portugal, according to Portuguese press reports.
The 25-year-old Brazilian paraglider pilot had run into complications with his ultra-light aviation equipment.
He reportedly suffered a broken leg while crash-landing on the ship.
The man was taken to a local hospital while his equipment was removed from the top deck of the Prinsendam by Maritime Police, who are investigating the incident.
