1. Drive like Richard Petty
This Orlando adventure activity is for the speed demon in you! At the Richard Petty Driving Experience, you will experience G-force RPMs as you ride shotgun in a NASCAR-style stock car at over 150 miles per hour. If you're really up for the challenge, we dare you to drive one! Participants are required to take a simple driver orientation and instructional class. Rides range from $109 for three laps to $1,299 for thirty laps. Riders must be at least 14 years old, and drivers at least 18. Experiences are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so visit the website or call for a schedule of dates available.

2. Defy gravity
If you have always wanted to sky dive, hang glide or fly, then this next activity is for you. Undoubtedly one of the scariest adventure activities in Orlando, the SkyCoaster (the world's tallest and fitting up to three people at a time) slowly hoists you backwards with a cable 300 feet into the air. The cable stops and there you hang, harnessed in (thankfully) and face down, anxiously awaiting the looming terror you are sure to experience. After the cable has stopped and the riders are suspended, one of the riders will have to muster up the courage to pull the release cord, which sends riders plummeting toward the ground, then swings back and forth a few times. Experience this gravity-defying stunt at the Fun Spot USA any time between 10AM and midnight daily all year long. It costs $40 for single fliers, $35 each for two fliers or $30 each for three. We dare you to see for yourself if you can keep your lunch down aboard one of the top adventure activities in Orlando.

3. Snorkel with sharks
Here's yet another adventure activity for the daring in Orlando. If swimming with the fishes is your thing, then experience the Sharks Deep Dive Interaction at Sea World. Travel to Orlando for underwater adventures where you can get an up close and personal view of these large carnivores. Don't worry, they state right on their website that "most sharks are only aggressive when provoked." Some of these sharks are over eight feet long. Not nervous yet? If you think getting into a cage near these alluring creatures is for babies, then grab yourself a snorkel and dive right in for a freeing "swim with the sharks" experience at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Shark Reef. You can swim right alongside leopard and bonnethead sharks, stingrays and an array of tropical fish, to give yourself a true free-spirited dive experience.
To arrange to see the sharks from inside the cage, visit the Sea World website and click "animal interactions." It costs $140 per person for a 90-minute dive and is available during regular park hours. For the less faint of heart, head to Typhoon Lagoon. All equipment including snorkel, mask and life jacket are included in the $29.95 adult admission for the park. Swimmers must be at least 10 years old at both experiences. Viewing sharks from a tank or a cage is one thing, but we dare you to tackle this Orlando adventure wearing nothing but a snorkel and a bathing suit.

4. Talk to the spirits
Discover a community made up of spiritual mediums and psychics. This is the type of place where gas station attendants have been known to tell people to put back items that are unhealthy for babies and the customer finds out a few days later that they are expecting. If you're looking for eerie adventure activities in Orlando, visitors can take tours to learn about the 115-year history of this other-dimensional community or even take a tour designed specifically for photographing orbs of energy. The camp bookstore and information center supplies anything you will need to start you on your spiritual journey -- from books and CD's on metaphysics to stones and healing crystals. They even have a list of registered mediums and their phone numbers available for you to call and schedule a reading. The camp is located less than an hour away from Orlando on Interstate 4, off of exit 114. So, we dare you to call a number on the list to see what your future holds. Chances are they will be expecting your call.

5. Tour the swamp -- at night
If a ride on an air boat doesn't seem to be a very daring Orlando adventure, then we dare you to take a high-speed air boat ride in the gator-infested swamp waters of Central Florida... in the dark. At Boggy Creek Air Boats near Orlando, they offer an adventure activity like none other. You can take a one-hour nighttime tour where you can meet the creatures of the dark. Did we mention that the sides of the boat are usually no more than 16 inches high? Please be sure to keep your hands and feet inside the boat at all times if you plan on keeping them. This eerie excursion is available from February to November and costs $49.95 for adults and $45.95 for children ages 3 to 10. The boat leaves the dock at 9PM sharp, so be there and be prepared to hang on tight. You might not be able to see much, but you never know what will be able to see you.
