Disney Unveils Annual Park Pass for Both Resorts
The "Disney Premier Passport" gives cardholders the same access that the "premium" annual pass grants to all eight theme and water parks at Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida. Adult admission to the parks runs around $62 per day, and a premium annual pass to Walt Disney World costs $489 while a Disneyland Resort pass costs $439.
According to a post on the Disney Parks Blog from March 10th, the pass will let Disney super fans hop around to multiple parks in the same day, and includes admission to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Water Parks at Disney World, as well as greens fees at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course. Other perks include free parking, food and merchandise discounts, and subscriptions to the Mickey Monitor and Backstage Pass newsletters, as well as Disney's Family Fun Magazine.
The Orange County Register reported on March 10th that Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman, said the Passport was created in response to guest requests.
"While we don't expect it to be appropriate for a huge number of guests, we do know that some of our most ardent fans travel between the two Resorts and we think this is a great pass for them," Brown said in a prepared statement at an annual shareholders meeting in San Antonio, Texas Wednesday morning.
Disney fans already holding a Premium Annual Pass for either resort will automatically be issued a "Disney Premier Passport," and those who wish to upgrade other passes may do so for an additional fee.
The Passport is not available for purchase online. To pick one up, visit the Disneyland Resort box office or Walt Disney World Guest Relations windows. There is no special child pricing.
