AAAIt's been estimated that up to 250,000 people will flood the Olympics every day, each with their own agenda of Vancouver nightlife options to check off in the evening. No matter if you're looking to wine and dine or to dance and unwind, these Vancouver bars, clubs, and casinos will keep the fun and games going all night long.
The Commodore Ballroom
For over 75 years, this art deco venue has hosted everyone from Duke Ellington to Lady Gaga. The concert hall is famous for its sprung dance floor, a surface with a layer of horsehair lining underneath that absorbs shock. Alternative rockers Collective Soul and parody heavy metal band Steel Panther have dates scheduled at the Ballroom during the Olympics.

Sylvia's Bar
Since 1954, patrons have enjoyed a beach-side view of the English Bay through the picture windows of this cozy cocktail lounge. Situated in the lobby of the Sylvia Hotel, this is one of the oldest Vancouver bars. Unwind from a day of Olympic activities while sipping on a blueberry martini or splitting a bottle of wine by the fireplace.

Edgewater Casino
Slots, poker, blackjack, roulette-if you're looking to gamble, the Edgewater Casino is your best bet. During the Olympics, the casino will host "Celebration Village 2010," an event taking place alongside the Plaza of Nations where local vendors will peddle their wares. The casino is promising free admission, thousands of giveaway prizes, and daily live entertainment.

The Railway Club

Stop by this skinny, second-floor space overlooking Dunsmuri street for a microbrew on tap or martini made with fresh espresso.

Known for their vintage wines and cool jazz-seven nights a week-the restaurant has also won numerous awards for its eco-friendly menu.
